I just can't seem to get the time to make it to the gym lately. Between taking care of the baby, getting ready to move, and my new job, it's not looking like I'll have time to get to the gym for a couple of weeks... which royally sucks because my acupuncturist suggested meeting at the gym so he could give me some ideas on exercise routines. As it is he left me with the suggestion of working with the pilates balls and rubber bands... ok, but what do I do with them?
Hopefully once I'm through training I'll be able to get to the gym for a workout before going to work. It's just a couple of exits up on the highway. But until then I'm thinking I won't be seeing a whole lot of progress.

Hey Nooney, I've stop going to the gym. I never could find the time or the motivation to get there. I found this wonderful website www.push.tv/ It personalizes your workout to your fitness level and the areas that you want to concentrate on. I't cheaper then the gym and more convient. It uses the ball and the bands that your acupuncturis has suggested. I'm in my second month and love working out to the videos. I rarely miss, which I can't say about when I was a member of a gym.

I only go to the gym because its here at work. if I dont have time I dont go either. dont be so hard on yourself. just do little things while your moving. like lifting up a box for moving, but standing there doing 10 squats with it. Yoga balls are wonderful, and I have MANY tapes to go with them. I will even mail one to you if you wish

Oooo, I'm going to have to check out that site, BA. Thanks for the link. (I'd do it tonight, but I'm pooped and have an even busier day tomorrow).
Like I said, I think I'll be able to go more often once I'm out of training and working a fairly regular schedule. Plus the gym I belong to is 24 hours during the week, so I can go after work, too.

and the cool thing is that hubby doesn't mind working out early in the morning, or late at night... whichever terminology works for you.

Another suggestion for you Nooney especially with time being a factor, when my babies were little, I would do my exercises at home on the floor with them, it was playtime to them and as they grew, it added more weight to my exercise plan, I would lay on my back and doing leg lifts while they set on my legs me holding there hands while moving my legs up and down with them smiling, drooling and laughing at me, weeeee it was fun and left me with good memories, I did this with both my children, they both loved it!
I did setups with them too while holding them in a hug, almost rocking with them but on the floor in a setup formation, the playtime really helped me shed the unwanted pounds and I got to have playtime with them too everyday and I also looked forward to it as well.

Thank you Minu, The workouts with the children left me with so many Grood memories, as they got older? They also did leg lifts and set-ups with me, they Knew the Drill well and I would still use them to do my workouts, this went on until they got too heavy for me to lift, ha ha. I had a ripped stomache and butt and my legs were so strong. Nooney, I hope this helps you out with your workouts and leaves you with many good memories too.
