Was watching VH1 today and they were talking about the diets that celebs use to get thin after pregnancy. Some of them I think would be good health choices for all of us.
1) 3 hour diet - eat small portioned meals one hour after you wake up, then every three hours after that.. not eating anything 3 hours before bed
2) raw diet - only eating raw food, nothing that has been processed or frozen
3) organic - only eating organic foods
I think i might do the 3 hour one, would help my gerd too =)

none of these are tremendously good or bad, but each involves a lifestyle change - and sometimes it sux to have to drop whatever you are doing for your little meal every three hours.

yes thats true, Im not saying Im going to time myself..lol. but i was told to help with heartburn it is better to eat 5-6 small meals a day rather then 3 big ones... your stomach digests the food better, and your heartburn becomes almost non-existent... thats what i meant

there are athletes who are so high-tuned that they have to get up in the middle of the night to eat their little meal or their 2% bodyfat count goes up...
personally, that's a little excessive, but I do try not to eat before bed, unless its post-capoeira/workout, then I eat just enough to stave off hunger pangs before bed.

WHOA, NUTTIN' could keep me from my sleepies! ;D
I've been eating the small, frequent-meal-deal for a while now, (with carb control too), and I have been free of the wicked heartburn I used to get since. Could be the lesser carb amounts, could be the lesser food amounts, or a combo., but whichever it is, I'm glad to not have my ears ON FIRE from heartburn anymore.
Used to have a bottle of Malox around all the time, and I haven't bought one for many moons.

This does work , this is the only way I have been able to loose any weight and this is what I will be doing, now remembering too eat like this is a challenge, picking the right foods is key to it all with slowing down on the carbs at the end of the day, I had to also set a clock to go off every three hours so I didn't forget to eat at first, after awhile it gets easy because your body will tell you when it is time to eat, a growl here and a growl there, He He

For sure, Mad. I've been doing this for a while and for me, (since I'm working at home), it's really not a big whop. And like you say, after a while, and after the metabolism speeds up, you just KNOW when it's nibble-time.
Kinda sucks for dinners out, and dinner parties, but since I've been serious about the fat loss, I've let all our friends know, in no uncertain terms that until May of next year, there'll likely be just 'gatherings' with snackies and such at our place, as opposed to full on 5 course meals like we used to do.

I don't blame you Minu for telling friends that your serious about this weight loss and not to expect a 5 course meal, Amen! to that sista And glad the 3 hour plan is working for you too.
