1 lg. Jell-O Orange or Lime Sugar free 1 can mandarin oranges, drained & chopped 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained lg. or sm. curd cottage cheese 1(8 or 9 oz.) Cool Whip-use fat free Check this out: www.kraftfoods.com/main.aspx?s=contact_us&m=contact_us/faqview&faq_question_id=322&cache=NIf you like the chunky-ness then use chunky pinapple, and make Mandarin oranges chunky too and buy the large curd cottage cheese, I like this either way and double this recipe for company. I also sometimes add Walnuts or pecans, Coconut a few small marshmellows but if you want to watch the calories then I would stick with the original recipe.

Oooo... this sounds a lot like something one of the teachers would make for pot lucks when we had them. I never got the recipe from her. I may have to try it out for the next big family gathering.

I'm making this for Thanksgiving for myself so I'm not so tempted to eat the pies, cakes and cookies.

Well, it turns out I'm working on Thanksgiving... 2:30 am - 11 am. Same hours the day before. I'm actually kind of glad. Gives me an excuse to miss the big party at hub's grandmother's house. Thanksgiving just isn't as joyous as it used to be.

Aww Nooney(((Hugs))) I'm sorry, I'm sure things will get better for you. I made this for Thanksgiving and it kept me away from the other desserts and everyone else liked it too, it is very good, I'm thinking of experimenting, making this with strawberry or berry sugar free jell-o instead of using the orange since I like strawberry too , leaving the mandarin oranges out of the mix. Cutting up chunks of fresh strawberries, maybe even just making it a berry type of salad adding other assorted fresh berries to this salad, lets see, only using fresh strawberries, raspberries, cherries and blueberries and grapes, Yummmy it sounds so good and may be a good way to replace a breakfast or snack during the week too.
